I'm new to puerh teas, which I really like a lot, and I especially like this one. It is my fourth ripe puerh, arrived just today and definitely did not disappoint. A real pleasure. The cake is less dense than some others, looks and smells very nice. Brewed at 205F, the soup is a little bit lighter than some and tastes great. I am not an adept and can't tell you much about plum this or chocolate that, so I'll just say it again: tastes great. Woodsy, mushroomy, a brighter taste profile. And now I am excited to have another cup! Yes, I am actually looking forward to having more of it!! Right now!!!

Try the tea today has a really mild flavor. Pretty easy to break off and put in a tea infuser. Nice flavor and not too strong like some Black teas.

This was my first Pu-Erh tea cake that I ever tried but I have since bought and tasted cakes that cost $80 or more. This is a fantastic value! For me, after tasting 10+ Pu-Erh's, They have all been similar but the main thing you are looking for is smoothness and body. The smoothness and body of this one is excellent I think and has a very rich and oily texture. I get hints of roasted tobacco, vanilla, and a little bit of musk. All of these things I enjoy immensely for my morning cup of tea. For $28, at the time of writing this, you are gonna have a cake that will last you months and give you a nice comforting brew every morning.

I've had maybe a dozen different puer tea and I was hesitant to buy one without knowing anything about it but it turned out to be a good puer tea. It tastes earthy like a puer tea should and it breaks apart like one as well. So yeah, overall, I like it and will probably order it again.

The flavor on this is a little flat unless you steep it in a cast iron kettle. There's a name for those and I'm forgetting what it is. But if you use one, give your leaves a quick rinse in boiling water and then steep in your iron kettle for 3 minutes. Set a timer because that seems to be the sweet spot. Using this amount of time and you'll be able to steep three times. Pour into your cup, and let melo for about another minute before sipping.

Brew it 3-5 minutes, while it is not my number one favorite, it is a close 3... No sugar needed5 minutes MAX after 5 minutes you might need sugar, 5 or less, no sugar needed :)

The quality of the tea is solid, and we have no complaints about the taste, but the tea cake is tiny compared to what you can get for the same price in Asian grocery stores. For the same price (or even less), you can get a puer tea cake twice the size (similar quality). I guess you pay more for the convenience factor.
